How to Put Google AdSense to Your Blog (Blogger)

There are many questions addressed to BLOGOOBLOK about how to place Google Adsense ads on blogs. Of course to advertise, you must have been approved by Google Adsense first.

I assume that asked when it was approved. Even if you haven't, you must first register.

Basically, there are two ways provided by Google to advertise on blogs. The way if you register Adsense through blogger and the way if you place ads through a conventional Google Adsense account dashboard.

This article was updated on March 26, 2018. The method described earlier has changed, so that it is updated according to the latest developments.

Place Google Adsense Ads from Blogspot

This method is fairly easy. You just need to log in to your blogger account and choose Earnings. If you register Adsense not through blogspot, it's good to first link your adsense account with blogspot. You do this by entering your account ID.

To place Adsense ads on a blog, select Yes on the Show ads on blog option. Underneath there are options for further customization. If you click on the text, we will be directed to 'Layout'. In the previous way the choice will be directly on the original page. There are three formats offered. Like the following picture:

Show ads in the sidebar and entries: this means they will appear in the sidebar of the blog and at the end of the post.


But the method above is no longer valid. By simply selecting Yes, adsense ads can already appear on the mobile version. Without further action needed. But if you need to set it in desktop vesri, then we will be redirected to the 'Layout' page.

On the 'Layout' page, you only need to press the 'Add Gadget' button. Then a new window will appear containing various options. 'Adsense' is usually at the very top. Just press the blue (+) button. Or writing Adsense.

A configuration page will open. Please set the desired ad display. Keep the format responsive so that when opened in a different version, the ad is still adjusting. The type of ad should also select 'Text and Image'.

For a blend of colors, please explore on your own. Right below it is a preview of the ad when it appears. When you are finished with the configuration page, press 'Save' in the bottom corner. After that, the ad placement can be anywhere. Just drak and save.

If a new ad unit is installed, there will be a few moments when the ad appears. You can add any advertisement on the blog page. Use the method above to add a new one.

To place ads through an Adsense account, first log in to the dashboard. Visit and enter the email that has been approved by Adsense. Once successful, you will be presented with a homepage display. Here you can see the Adsense earnings report.

Next, click on My Ad under the homepage.

On the My Ads option. Adsense provides several choices. The first is Content, AdMob, Search, Ad Styles and Other Products. On average we will use the Content option. Inside are Auto Ads, Ad Units, Ad Balance, Custom Channels and URL Channels.

Auto Ads including new options that appear Adsense. The way it works is simple. We just install, then the ad will appear by itself and find the most appropriate position. Can be above, in the middle of the article or at the bottom. Unfortunately, Auto Ads is more applicable in mobile vertion.

To take the ad code and install it on the blog manually, then choose Ad Adits. When pressing the button a new page will appear. To create a new ad unit, click the + New ad unit button.

Four types of ad units will appear. Three of them are in the form of Native Ads. There are Matched Content, In-feed ad and In-article Ad. Please choose the type of ad that you want to be attached to the blog. Let me give the most general example. Text & display ads.

When pressing the select button or Select the configuration page will appear. At this stage will choose, what the display ads. Do not forget, for each ad unit that is made always fill in the name so that it can measure its performance one time.
